Reflecting on his career, he expressed pride in his achievements and optimism for the future of Serbian volleyball, emphasizing the importance of the new generation continuing the team’s legacy, while Podraščanin, 37, also confirmed his departure from international play, sharing his gratitude and satisfaction with his 20-year career, recalling his journey from the 2006 team to the present.
He admitted he would have retired earlier if he hadn’t enjoyed the sport so much, but now feels it’s time for new players to step up.
Both players praised the team’s effort and resilience at the Olympic Games, despite not being medal contenders.
