Paris 2024: France destroy Italy and join Poland to final for GOLD!

They did it.
France is one win away from defending their Olympic volleyball title after a resounding success over Italy in just three sets in second semifinals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The reigning champions showcased their dominance with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-21, advancing to the prestigious gold medal match.
The winners, supported by a roaring crowd of over 10,000 volleyball fans, will face Poland (who secured their spot in the final after a thrilling five-set victory over the United States) in the final on Saturday, August 10, starting at 13:00 local time (11:00 GMT).
Italy, led by Alessandro Michieletto and Yuri RomanĆ², struggled against a super rival: Michieletto today left the court with only 7 points (replaced by Luca Porro, 2 points, at start of third set), while RomanĆ² and middle blocker Roberto Russo managed ten and nine points, respectively.
Despite Italyās efforts, Franceās standout performances by TrĆ©vor ClĆ©venot, top scorer with 17 points, and Earvin Ngapeth, who added 15, proved too much for the Italians.
Italy will now compete for bronze against the United States on Friday August 9 at 16:00 local time (14:00 GMT).
