Challenge Cup: Pool stage of prequalification stage is over. Finals tomorrow

Pool Stage of 2024/25 CEV Challenge Cup Zonal Prequalification Round is over today with final verdict and pairings for finals, scheduled tomorrow. To the top of Pool B Turkish powerhouse Arkas Izmir, who today needed five sets to down Serbia’s Radnicki Kragujevac, 3-2 (25:21, 23:25, 23:25, 25:16, 15:11), relegated at third spot in the Pool (tomorrow they’ll face modest KV Peja from Kosovo, third in Pool A).
1st in Pool B, Arkas Izmir, will face Beroe 2016 Stara Zagora from Bulgaria, who today defeated the hosts Pegasus Polichnis Thessaloniki by 1-3 (25:27, 20:25, 25:18, 20:25) with 27 points from Spas Bayrev to claim first spot in Pool A, while the hosts will face Romania’s Steaua Bucuresti, second in Pool B.
