Poland: 3 points for Warszawa and Stal Nysa on Monday games of Round 2

In Round 2 of 2024/25 PlusLiga, PGE Projekt Warszawa continued their strong start to the new season with a commanding 0-3 (18:25, 15:25, 18:25) victory on the fied of newcomers Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin. The team from country’s capital displayed dominance on the court, securing their third win of the season in as many games having played one match in advance.
Damian Schulz led the score for Będzin with 14 points to his name, while Bartłomiej Bołądź scored 11 points for the winners with 2 winning blocks, 2 aces and 58% in attack.
The visiting team outperformed the rivals in every aspect, including attack efficiency (55% to 37%), service points (7 to 1), and blocks (12 to 5), while MVP of the match was Jan Firlej.
In another match from the second round, PSG Stal Nysa claimed their first victory of the season with a 0-3 (17:25, 23:25, 17:25) win on the field of GKS Katowice.
Despite facing challenges from recent floods, the winners were dominant on the court, while Katowice suffered their third consecutive defeat, all in straight sets.
Jewhenij Kisiluk led the scoring for the hosts with 14 points, while Dawid Dulski and Michał Gierżot scored 14 and 13 points respectively for Stal Nys, who controlled the game with superior blocking (9 to 2) and committed fewer errors.
Kellian Motta Paes was named MVP.
Round 2 will close on Tuesday, October 8 with the postponement between ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa.
