Poland: 3 points for Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and Jastrzębski Węgiel (temporarily to the top) in advances of Round 6

Round 6 of 2024/25 Plusliga started today with two advance.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszów triumphed over GKS Katowice in four sets (28:30, 25:23, 25:21, 25:23) in the opening match.
After a tough start to the season with three losses, Resovia managed to secure their second victory after losing first set.
Bartosz Bednorz was decisive in this game earning MVP award with 21 points to his name through 52% in attack, 3 aces and 1 block, well supported by Lukas Vasina and Stephen Boyer, who added 18 and 17, respectively.
In the evening, Jastrzębski Węgiel trampled over Indykpol AZS Olsztyn 3-0 (25:21, 25:15, 25:19), bouncing back after a surprising loss in Częstochowa and rising to the top of the standings, at least temporarily, waiting for PGE Projekt Warszawa, who will play on the field of Barkom Każany Lwów tomorrow.
On the other hand, Olsztyn continued to struggle, marking their fifth defeat of the season.
Łukasz Kaczmarek led the winners with 18 points, 1 ace, 1 block, an impressive 79% in attack and MVP title.
Round 2 will continue tomorrow also with the game between ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów.
