Poland: ZAKSA down Cuprum Stilon Gorzów in another delayed match of Round 4

Fragmented Round 4 of 2024/25 Plusliga, originally started on September 18 with the advance between Barkom Każany Lwów and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, and that will finally close tomorrow with the game between PSG Stal Nysa and Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa, continued today with anlther delayed game, won by ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle against Cuprum Stilon Gorzów with the score of 3-1 (25:21, 25:20, 20:25, 25:16).
The winners, who jumped from 7th to 4th place in the standings, earned their fourth victory of the season, taking all points from the game, while their rivals suffered their second loss.
Top scorers for ZAKSA included Igor Grobelny and Mateusz Poręba with 19 points each, and MVP award for the latter with 83% attack success rate and 4 blocks, while Mateusz Rećko added 12 and Rafał Szymura also contributed with 11. For Cuprum, Mathijs Desmet scored 14 points, and Adam Lorenc added 11.
ZAKSA dominated in attack efficiency (52% to 44%), serve points (5-2), and blocks (13-8).
Tomorrow will start also Round 7 with the advance between current leaders PGE Projekt Warszawa and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.
