Poland: no upsets on Saturday games of Round 7 – 3 points for Jastrzębski Węgiel, Bełchatów and Lublin

Round 7 of 2024/25 Plusliga continued today with other three games, and without major upsets.
Jastrzębski Węgiel secured a 1-3 (29:27, 21:25, 15:25, 21:25) victory on the field of Cuprum Stilon Gorzów after a challenging first set. Tomasz Fornal and Łukasz Kaczmarek each scored 17 points, while German middle blocker Anton Brehme earned a well-deserved MVP award with a stunning 92% attack efficiency and 3 blocks. All in front of 5191 volleyball fans at Arena Gorzów.
In another match, PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów overcame a tough start to down newcomers Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin with the score of 3-1 (23:25, 25:19, 25:19, 25:21) and 11 aces, led by Amin Esmaeilnezhad who left the court with 24 points to his name through 57% in attack and 3 aces, well supported by MVP Žiga Štern who also contributed with 18 also with 3 aces, 1 winning block and 56% in attack. Damian Schulz led Będzin with 20 points.
In the evening, Bogdanka LUK Lublin easily won in straight sets on the field of GKS Katowice, 0-3 (23:25, 20:25, 16:25), to remain the only undefeated team this season, with Wilfredo Leon leading the way with 14 points to his name including 2 aces and an impressive 80% in attack.
Yevhenii Kisiliuk scored 15 points for Katowice with 1 ace through 82% in attack and behind him nothing, with players who scored just 5 and 4 points.
Round 7 will close tomorrow with last two scheduled games: Trefl Gdańsk will welcome PSG Stal Nysa while, in the evening, Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa will face last-placed and still winless Barkom Każany Lwów.
