France: Montpellier win advance of Round 8

Round 8 of 2024/25 Marmara Spike League started today with the derby between Montpellier and Sète, ended in straight sets in favor of the home team (and Supercup winners), 3-0 (25:16, 25:17, 25:23).
The winners, led in score by Tomas Lopez, top scorer with 14 points to his name through 67% in attack and 2 winning blocks, and Nicolas Le Goff, who also contributed with 10 through 73% in attack and 2 blocks too, took advantage from the absence of Sète’s starting setter Danilo Gelinski, also making the difference in blocking, scoring 11 points from this element compared to the rivals’ only two, but also in attack (53% team efficiency to only 33%).
Hugo De Leon Guimarães was the only player in double digit for Sète with 10 points (41% uh attack and 1 ace).
