In Round 11 of 2024/25 Powerfusion VL Men’s only home wins!
Defending champions HYPO TIROL Volleyballteam destroyed in their Innsbruck Olympiahalle Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel 3-0 (25:19, 25:21, 25:19) and underlined its dominance, boasting the maximum number of points in the standings.
The visiting side showed a brave performance, despite the injury of Mateusz Sniezek, but the home team were able to be absolutely better in the decisive phases of the game, led by Niklas Kronthaler and Kyle Hobus, who scored 17 and 13 points, respectively.
Last season’s runners up TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg remain HYPO TIROL’s first pursuer, now seven points behind.
The Styrians defeated VCA Amstetten NÖ 3-2 (23:25, 25:20, 25:18, 22:25, 15:7) in what was their 8th win in a row!
UVC McDonald’s Ried celebrated a confident 3-0 (25:23, 25:15, 25:13) victory against TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien and, after a hard-fought first set, the third-placed team dominated the Raiffeisen Volleydome, led by Captain Tomasz Rutecki with 17 points and his teammate Borys Zhukov who added 13. Karlo Jakovac and Jakub Kocvara each scored 10 points for Sokol.
UVC Holding Graz lived up to their role as favorite against last-placed VBK Kelag Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt, winning 3-0 (25:17, 25:20, 25:20) and moving up to fifth place ahead of Waldviertel.
Top scorers in the Raiffeisen Sportpark were Arwin Kopschar (18) and Benedikt Sablatnig (13), and Noah Neunhoeffer and Mathias Wultsch with 8 each for Klagenfurt.
SK Zadruga Aich/Dob struggled more than expected against newcomers Sportunion z+p St. Pölten, even losing first set. However, the fourth-placed team took three points after a 3-1 (24:26, 25:21, 25:17, 25:18) win, and are still two points behind Ried. Top scorers were Bryan Camino Martinez (14) and Carlos Charles Santana (11) for the winners, and Georg Köstler (14) and Jonah Zelenka (12) for the visiting side.
