Poland: Częstochowa stun Aluron! Gdańsk, and Resovia also victorious in Round 21

Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa clinched a hard-fought 3-2 (30:28, 23:25, 22:25, 25:20, 15:12) victory against super favorite Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. Despite numerous errors from both sides, the match delivered excitement and suspence until the final points of tie-break, in which the home side celebrated their 13th win of the season, while Aluron, sitting second in the league, suffered their fifth defeat.
MVP Milad Ebadipour contributed with 20 points to his name, including two aces and two blocks, while Patrik Indra led the scoring with 26 points. For the visiting side, Aaron Russell (20) and Karol Butryn (19) were the most prolific players.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszów dominated GKS Katowice 0-3 (18:25, 18:25, 17:25), earning their 10th win and solidifying their playoff hopes, while the home side, anchored at the bottom of the standings, suffered their 18th defeat in what was a one-sided encounter.
MVP Lukas Vasina led the charge with 13 points to his name, achieving a 62% attack success rate and 64% positive reception, while his teammates Stephen Boyer and Bartosz Bednorz added 13 and 12 points, respectively, as Resovia controlled the match with precision.
In the evening, Trefl Gdańsk delivered a commanding 3-1 (27:29, 25:21, 25:18, 25:15) win over Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin, securing their eighth victory and moving further from the relegation zone. The newcomers, on tue other hand, facing their 11th consecutive loss, remain near the bottom of the table.
Aliaksei Nasevich, the match MVP, led the winners with 24 points including four aces, while Piotr Orczyk added 19 points. Gdańsk also excelled in serving (8-2) and blocking (11-6).
Round 21 will continue tomorrrow with other two games: PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów will welcome ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle in a Plusliga classic while, in the evening, Ślepsk Malow Suwałki will face BOGDANKA LUK Lublin.
