Turkey: all results of Round 17 – leaders Ziraat destroy Fenerbahçe and the others

Round 17 of 2024/25 SMS Group Efeler Ligi concluded with two matches played today.
In the first one, No.3 in the current charts Halkbank swept No.5 Spor Toto, 0-3 (24:26, 25:27, 20:25), while leaders Ziraat Bankkart celebrated a commanding 3-0 (25:22, 25:22, 25:14) victory against Fenerbahçe Medicana in a big classic of Turkish volleyball. Playing at home, the winners were
lead by Wouter Ter Maat, who scored 13 points, while Trevor Clevenot added 11.
Fenerbahçe fought valiantly in the first two sets, with Drazen Luburic (13 points) and Earvin Ngapeth (12 points) making notable contributions, but Ziraat proved too strong and solidified their leadership with a solid +7 from their closest pursuers Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, who won in four sets over newcomers Istanbul Gençlik Spor, 3-1 (25:21, 25:27, 25:23, 25:22). 3 points also for On Hotels Alanya Belediyespor, who easily won against last-placed Akkuş Belediyesi, 3-0 (25:19, 25:17, 25:18), and for Altekma, who down Türşad with the same result (25:22, 25:16, 25:20), while Cizre Bld. defeated Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor at tie break, 3-2 (25:19, 22:25, 26:28, 25:23, 15:11).
