Japan: Ran Takahashi stays with Suntory Sunbirds also in 2025/26

Japanese national team member and global volleyball star Ran Takahashi has officially renewed his contract with the Suntory Sunbirds in his homeland, ensuring his place on the team also in upcoming 2025/26 season.
The 23-year-old, who returned to Japan last year after an appearance in Italy, is set to continue as a key player for the club.

“I’m excited to keep fighting with this team to become even stronger, not just in Japan but worldwide. Thank you for your support,” he said.

A standout for Japan’s national team since 2021, his successes includes prestigious Gold and Silver medals at the Asian Championships and podium finishes in the Volleyball Nations League.
