Poland: 3 points for Resovia, Jastrzębski and Lublin on Saturday games of Round 22

Round 22 of 2024/25 Plusliga or, if you prefer, Round 7 of second leg, continued today with other three games.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszów delivered a powerful victory, sweeping PGE Projekt Warszawa 3-0 (25:23, 26:24, 25:21) in a highly anticipated battle. This marks Resovia’s 11th win of the season, moving them up to seventh place, while Projekt, despite the loss, holds onto third in the standings, at -3 from Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, who yesterday won on the field of Indykpol AZS Olsztyn in four sets.
The winners played with confidence and efficiency, excelling in attack and serving (6–2 aces), led by Bartosz Bednorz, top scorer of the game with 17 points to his name, closely followed by Stephen Boyer who added 16.
Kevin Tillie was top scorer for the team from country’s capital, leaving the court with 12 points.
Libero Michał Potera, who put on a defensive clinic making crucial plays that kept Resovia in control, was named MVP of the game.
Three points also for leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel, who sweep Cuprum Stilon Gorzów with a clean 3-0 (25:21, 25:17, 25:18) with 16 points from top scorer and MVP Thimotée Carle (74% in attack with 1 ace and 1 block), and for BOGDANKA LUK Lublin, who needed four sets and 140 minutes of play to prevail over last-placed GKS Katowice, 3-1 (27:25, 25:15, 22:25, 25:22).
And they did it, despite the absence on Leon, on the bench and entered to the court only for a couple of points, mostly thanks to MVP Mikołaj Sawicki, author of 26 points through 62% in attack, 3 aces and 2 blocks.
Round 22 will continue tomorrow with the clash between ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Ślepsk Malow Suwałki while, on Monday, Barkom Każany Lwów will face Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa in a game that will close this round.
