Challenge Cup: also SK Ankara, Sporting CP and Cucine Lube Civitanova to semifinals!

2024/25 CEV Challenge Cup quarterfinals has been completed today with last three games.
After a four sets win in Greece in first leg, SK Ankara from Turkey, better known in world of volleyball as Spor Toto, sweep PAOK Thessaloniki in front of their home fans with the score of 3-0 (25:19, 25:14, 25:23), with 7 aces and three players who left the court in double digit: an almost perfect Thomas Edgar, top scorer with 11 points through 77% in attack, 1 ace and zero errors, Garrett Muagututia, with added 11 too, and Salvador Hidalgo Oliva, who also contributed with 10.
Predictions respected also in other two games: Portugal’s Sporting CP Lisboa needed four thrilling sets to prevail over Decospan VT Menen from Belgium, 3-1 (25:22, 30:28, 25:27, 25:14), while Italian Cup fresh Winners Cucine Lube Civitanova needed only 61 minutes of play to trample over Nova Tech Lycurgus Groningen from The Netherlands, 3-0 (25:16, 25:13, 25:14), with a turnover, 13 aces, 62% of team performance in attack and 8 winning blocks.
They joined in semifinal Poland’s Bogdanka LUK Lublin, who yesterday eliminated CV Melilla from Spain after a double straight sets win.
