In derby, Itas Trentino won on the field of Coppa Italia’s finalist Rana Verona in just three sets, partially 16:25, 19:25, and 23:25,
in front of 5200 volleyball fans.
Alessandro Michieletto led the charge with 13 points to his name through 69% in attack and 4 aces.
Away straight sets victory also for Cucine Lube Civitanova, who won on the field of Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza with the score of 0-3 (20:25, 19:25, 23:25).
In a little less than 90 minutes of play, the winners consolidated third place in the standings after a slow start in which they had to recover from 20-17 in first set. 16 points from Yuri Romanó, top scorer of the match and 11 from Stephen Maar weren’t enough, as Coppa Italia winners closed the game without dropping a single set led by MVP Barthlemy Chinenyeze, who left the court with 12 points to his name including 4 blocks and 2 aces, in double digit like Erik Loeppky with 11 and Adis Lagumdzija with 10.

the charge with 19 and 14 points, respectively, while Yuga Tarumi with 13 delivered earned MVP honors in front of Japanese ambassador in Italy Satoshi Suzuki.
