Poland: predictions respected on Sunday games of Round 23 – 3 points for Resovia, Jastrzębski and Aluron

Round 23 of 2024/25 Plusliga or, if you prefer, Round 8 of second leg, continued today with other three games.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszów defeated Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa 1:3 (21:25, 25:20, 25:27, 23:25) and, despite a close match, they took all three points, climbing to sixth place in the standings.
Stephen Boyer led the charge with 22 points to his name through 51% attack efficiency, 1 ace, 2 blocks and MVP award, well supported by Bartosz Bednorz and Lukas Vasina, who also contributed with 18 and 17, respectively, while Patrik Indra tallied 23 points for the hosts.
Resovia continues their winning streak, previously beating LUK Lublin (3:2), GKS Katowice (3:0), and PGE Projekt Warszawa (3:0).
In another match, leaders and defending champions Jastrzębski Węgiel won on the field of Trefl Gdańsk 1-3 (19:25, 25:21, 20:25, 23:25). Although they faced a determined rivals, the hosts couldn’t secure any points.
The match in Ergo Arena drew an impressive 9,100 volleyball fans and, after 122 minutes of play, Tomasz Fornal earned MVP award with 21 points to his name through 46% in attack, 2 blocks and 3 aces.
In the evening, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie won on the field of Cuprum Stilon Gorzów with the score of 0-3 (23:25, 21:25, 22:25) to fly to second place in the standings with 55 points, at -5 from leaders and +3 from PGE Projekt Warszawa, who yesterday won on the field of last-placed GKS Katowice.
Aaron Russell led the charge with 15 points through 52% in attack and 1 block, while Neves Atu Chizoba scored 16 for the hosts but he wasn’t enough.
Round 23 will close tomorrow with the clash between Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin.
