Italy: Round 19 is over – Modena stun Civitanova! 3 points also for Perugia, Verona and Milano. 2 for Cisterna

Rana Verona dominated Vero Volley Monza, securing a 3-0 (25:18, 25:20, 25:21) win in front of their home fans, led by MVP Rok Mozic shined with 13 points and 3 blocks. Not a good news for Monza, who back alone to the bottom of the standings at -1 from second-to-last Gioiella Prisma Taranto, defeated at home with the score of 2-3 (25:23, 23:25, 23:25, 25:22, 11:15) by Cisterna, with 24 points from MVP Theo Faure.
Verona, on the other hand, confirmed themselves at 5th place in the standings with 33 points, the same number of points of No.6 Allianz Milano, who celebrated a hard-fought 3-1 (27:25, 22:25, 25:22, 27:25) home win over Sonepar Padova, with 23 points from top scorer Ferre Reggers and 19 from Yacine Louati. Double digit also for Matey Kaziyski, then well replaced by Tatsunori Otsuka, and MVP Edoardo Caneschi, decisive in third set.
Luca Porro scored 22 points to his name for Padova, but he wasn’t enough to catch at least one point.

Despite Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina’s strong resistance, super favorite and current leaders Sir Susa Vim Perugia sealed a 1-3 (17:25, 25:23, 16:25, 23:25) victory, in front of a record attendance at PalaSavelli, with more than 3400 volleyball fans!
MVP Wassim Ben Tara scored 20 points for the winners, while Dusan Petkovic left the court with 26 points for the home team who, once again, showed a great performance and a great resilience despite the injury of starting setter Tsimafei Zhukouski.
Close the picture Valsa Group Modena, who pulled off a crucial 3-1 (25:20, 25:21, 22:25, 25:19) victory over Coppa Italia winners Cucine Lube Civitanova, mostly thanks to 11 winning blocks (4 only from Simone Anzani, 6 in fourth set), and led by MVP José Miguel Gutierrez who scored 13 points, in double digit like Vlad Davyskiba with 16 and Paul Buchegger, who also added 13. On the other side of the net, Aleksandar Nikolov scored 14 punti with lot of ups and downs, while a good Mattia Bottolo added 12 through 69% in attack.
