Quarterfinals of TAURON Puchar Polski Mężczyzn 2025, 2024/25 Polish Cup, has been completed today with the success of regular season leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel on the field of WKS Czarni Radom, 0-3 (19:25, 15:25, 14:25), with as many as 16 winning blocks (5 only from Norbert Huber and 6 with the signature of Tomasz Fornal, author of 19 points through 58% in attack and 2 aces).
In big match played on Tuesday, PGE Projekt Warszawa down ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle by 3-1 (22:25, 25:22, 27:25, 25:22) in front of almost 5000 volleyball fans at Warszawa’s COS Torwar, despite a stellar performance of Bartosz Kurek, absolute top scorer of the match with 30 points to his name through 58% in attack, 1 ace and 3 winning blocks. Bartłomiej Bołądź scored 19 points for the winners including 1 ace, 1 block and 57% in attack.
Straight sets win for Plusliga sides BOGDANKA LUK Lublin and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. The first one down Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa with the score of 3-0 (25:17, 25:23, 25:22) with 10 aces, 17 points from top scorer and MVP Wilfredo Leon (2 aces, 1 block and 54% in attack), 15 from Kewin Sasak and 10 from Mikołaj Sawicki.
Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie won on the field of ChKS Chełm 0-3 (19:25, 24:26, 17:25), struggling only in second set, led by top scorer and MVP Aaron Russell, who left the court with 16 points to his name through 64% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block. Jędrzej Goss was the only
player in double digit with 12 points on the other side of the net (58% in attack and 1 block).
