Poland: 3 points for Indykpol AZS Olsztyn and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie on Friday games of Round 29

After an advance played on March 4, in which Ślepsk Malow Suwałki down already relegated GKS Katowice, Round 29 of 2024/25 Plusliga or, if you prefer, Round 14 of second leg as well as penultimated of regular season, continued today with other two games, in which both winners earned three points.
Indykpol AZS Olsztyn celebrated a 1-3 (25:21, 23:25, 19:25, 18:25) on the field of a disappointed Cuprum Stilon Gorzów in front of more than 4000 volleyball fans and after 129 minutes of play! Czech opposite Jan Hadrava led the charge with 26 points to his name through 57% in attack, 5 of his team’s 8 winning blocks and his fourth MVP award of the season, well supported by Nicolas Szerszen, who added 16 with 2 aces and the same efficiency in attack. Chizoba Neves Atu was once again the most prolific player for Gorzów with 17 points but he wasn’t enough for a team who remained at 12th place in the standings.
In the evening, all easy for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, who trampled over PSG Stal Nysa on the road with the score of 0-3 (19:25, 20:25, 16:25) without major problems, and with the home team ahead only at the start of third set, 8-6, ended then with a clear 16-25. MVP Karol Butryn led the charge with 17 points to his name through 50% in attack, 2 aces and 2 blocks, while Bartosz Kwolek added 14 including 4 of the winners’8 aces and 57% in attack.
Round 29 will continue tomorrow with other three games: Jastrzębski Węgiel will welcome CEV Challenge Cup finalist BOGDANKA LUK Lublin in big match of the day, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle will face Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in a big classic of Polish volleyball while, in the evening, Barkom Każany Lwów will continue their fight to stay in Plusliga with a clash on the field of already relegated Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin.
