Poland: regular season almost over – Jakob Jarosz played his last game, 3 points for Resovia and Olsztyn

Round 30 of 2024/25 Plusliga or, if you prefer, Round 15 of second leg or last round of regular season continued today with other two games.
The competition came to a dramatic close with a mix of dominant performances and heartfelt goodbyes as playoff spots were finalized.
In Rzeszów, Asseco Resovia finished the season on a high note, sweeping newcomers and already relegated Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin 3-0 (25:16, 25:21, 25:19).
It was Resovia’s 17th straight win, securing sixth place in the standings and a playoff berth against powerhouse Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. Unfortunately for Będzin, the result confirmed their relegation after finishing last in the league, and their return to the top flight lasted just one season.
Meanwhile, in Gdańsk, emotions ran high as Trefl Gdańsk fell 0-3 to Indykpol AZS Olsztyn (22:25, 21:25, 16:25), but the real headline was the farewell of veteran Jakub Jarosz, who played the final match of his career.
The Ergo Arena crowd paid tribute with a special ceremony, sending off their beloved idol in style. On the court, Olsztyn’s Jan Hadrava and Szymon Jakubiszak led their team to their 12th win of the season, securing ninth place in the standings.
Tomorrow marks the final game of the regular PlusLiga season, with Bogdanka LUK Lublin taking on Cuprum Stilon Gorzów. With the regular season almost complete, all eyes now turn to the PlusLiga 2025 Playoffs, where the top eight teams are set to face off in what promises to be an exciting knockout round.
