Among the many games of 2024/25 Powerfusion VL played this weekend, HYPO TIROL volleyball team reached the final thanks to another strong performance displayed on Saturday.
The defending champions showed no weakness in Game 3 of semifinal against UVC Holding Graz, winning again 3-0 (25:16, 25:14, 25:23) in front of their home fans at their USI Hall.
In front of almost 600 enthusiastic volleyball fans, they underscored their title favorites, having already won the Supercup and ÖVV Cup this season. Outside hitter Kyle Hobus was named MVP and was also the game’s top scorer with 15 points, while Arwin Kopschar scored 12 points for Graz.
In any case, the Innsbruck side prevailed in all areas with 38 to 24 points in attack, 8 to 3 blocks and 3 to 2 aces.
SK Zadruga Aich/Dob is still in race, prevailing on the field of TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg 1-3 (22:25, 22:25, 25:20, 22:25). Game 4 will take place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the JUFA Arena Bleiburg.
Aich/Dob’s sporting director Martin Micheu was in the coaching zone after parting ways with coach Lucio Oro on Thursday.
The top scorers in the once again very well-attended Stadtwerke Hartberg Hall were Lukas Glatz with 19 for the hosts and Bryan Camino Martinez for the winners, while Noel Krassnig was named MVP.

UVC McDonald’s Ried and Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel will battle for 5th place starting from next weekend.
The first one lost the first leg against TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien in four sets , but bounced back on Saturday at the Raiffeisen Volleydome with a clean 3-0 (25:20, 25:15, 25:12) victory, also winning the subsequent golden set 15-9.
Waldviertel won also the second leg match against VCA Amstetten with the score of 3-1 (25:21, 24:26, 25:21, 25:20) at their Zwettl Stadthalle.
