Italy: Civitanova sweep Perugia to force semifinal series to decisive Game 5!

In a thrilling showdown on Easter Sunday, Cucine Lube Civitanova defeated Sir Susa Vim Perugia in just three sets (25:23, 25:20, 25:21), forcing the decisive Game 5 in 2024/25 SuperLega Credem Banca semifinal series.
The match, played in front of 2,675 excited fans at Civitanova’s Eurosuole Forum, showcased the home team superior blocking, composed attacking, and amazing defense led by libero Francesco Bisotto, eventually named MVP of the match.
Despite both teams left the court with identical 52% attack efficiency, the winners excelled at the net with 7 blocks to Perugia’s 4, a team that struggled with serving consistency, committing 21 direct errors, while Lube capitalized on crucial moments, especially in the final set in which they had to recover after a very good start of Perugia.
Alex Nikolov led the charge with 15 points to his name including 1 ace and an impressive 78% in attack, well supported by Mattia Bottolo’s 14 (2 winning blocks, 1 ace and 50% in attack).
Game 5 will take place Thursday, April 24 at 8:30 PM (CET) at the Pala Barton Arena, with the series now tied 2-2.
