Turkey: Ziraat destroy Galatasaray in decisive Game 3 to take 2024/25 title!

Ziraat Bankkart wrote their name into the history of Turkish volleyball once again, defeating Galatasaray HDI Sigorta in just three sets, 3-0 (25:18, 25:22, 25:21), in decisive Game 3 of 2024/25 SMS Grup Efeler Ligi best-of-five series, held at the TVF Ziraat Bankkart Volleyball Hall.
With this result, they completed their series with a clean 3-0 sweep, capturing their fourth Turkish Efeler Ligi title in club’s history.
In addition, they became the first Turkish volleyball club to win both the domestic league and a European competition in the same season, following their earlier triumph in the CEV Cup against Asseco Resovia from Poland.
Ziraat setter Murat Yenipazar was awarded as Final MVP, while Matt Anderson led the charge with 23 points, while Trevor Clevenot added 14. For Galatasaray, Victor Birigui was the most prolific player with 12 points, closely followed by Jean Patry with 11 points, while Ivan Zaytsev contributed with only 6 points.
Ziraat Bankkart General Manager Alpaslan Çakar praised the team’s season-long effort:
