Italy: Trento destroy Civitanova to take the lead in final series!

Field advantage once again decisive in 2024/25 Superlega CredemBanca final series!

At ilT quotidiano Arena, Itas Trentino take the lead once again with another 3-0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:18) sweep against Cucine Lube Civitanova and, more precisely, this was the hosts’ 19th home win in as many official games played on their home soil.
Just one step from the title, the winners started to play strong from the very beginning of the match with great determination and efficiency in attack (61% of team performance at the end of the game, without errors and blocked only 4 times), with MVP Kamil Rychlicki who led the charge with 16 points through 74% in attack and 2 blocks.
Civitanova tried to reply above all from the service line, but nothing to do against a rival that showed great composure and, well supported by Alessandro Michieletto and Daniele Lavia, who also contributed with 12 points each, thrilled the 4.000 volleyball fans present still today.
The visiting side, despite a strong showing in Game 2, couldn’t keep up and today their top scorer Adis Lagumdzija scored 11 points, but the team struggled to keep rhythm, particularly in reception and transition.
Coach Fabio Soli praised his squad’s composure and determination, noting that despite some imperfections, their mental strength made the difference.
On the other side, coach Giampaolo Medei acknowledged Trento’s superior performance and called on his team to regroup quickly to force a Game 5.

The series will return to Civitanova Marche on Wednesday, May 7 with Game 4 and with Trento who will have the chance to close the series at first “match ball” for Scudetto.
