Itas Trentino 2024/25 Italian Champions!
And they did it after a thrilling 2-3 (25:21, 26:28, 17:25, 25:20, 9:15) win on the field of Cucine Lube Civitanova in decisive Game 4 of SuperLega Credem Banca Final.
This victory, sealed at a sold-out Eurosuole Forum, gives Trentino their sixth Scudetto in club history.
After dropping the first set, the winners bounced back strong, winning the next two.
The hosts reacted, forced a fifth set, but the last dance belonged to Trento, with Kamil Rychlicki who put down the last point.
It’s a dream come true for head coach Fabio Soli, who grabs his first title with the team since taking over in 2023, while several players, including MVP Alessandro Michieletto, Riccardo Sbertoli, Daniele Lavia, and Gabriele Laurenzano, collected their second titles with Trento, repeating their 2022/23 triumph, also against Cucine Lube Civitanova!
Alessandro Michieletto led the charge today with 22 points to his name through 67% in attack, 2 winning blocks and 4 of his team’s 10 aces, supported by Daniele Lavia who added 13 points, and Kamil Rychlicki, who also contributed with 12 points. Middle blocker Kozamernik was also decisive in with 7 points including 2 winninh blocks and 83% in attack.
On the other side of the net, Aleksandar Nikolov shone with a match-high 23 points including 3 aces, 2 blocks and 60% in attack, followed by Mattia Bottolo with 19.
This win cements Trentino’s place as one of Italy’s top volleyball clubs, after 2008, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2023 and now also 2025 titles.
