Poland: setter Eduardo Carisio injured and part ways with new club Cuprum Stilon Gorzów
2 min read
Cuprum Stilon Gorzów confirmed that their newly signed setter, Brazilian Eduardo Carisio Sobrinho, has suffered a serious injury that has compromised his PlusLiga season.
The 27-year-old player boasted an interesting career, playing for Fiat/Minas, EMS Taubaté Funvic, and Vôlei Itapetininga in his home country before moving abroad, where he spent the 2021–22 season with Poitiers in France, returned briefly to Brazil with SESI-SP, then joined Jihostroj České Budějovice and most recently Arkas Spor in Turkey.
Unfortunately, medical examinations confirmed the severity of his injury, preventing a safe return to competition and, after accurate discussions with doctors, the coaching staff, and the player himself, the club and the setter agreed to end the contract by mutual agreement.
