Iranian Star Saber Kazemi suffered heart stop in team preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 season

Saber Kazemi, who has recently signed a contract with Qatari club Al Rayyan, during team preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 season, suffered a severe heart stop and possible brain damages last Friday.
He was immediately hospitalized but was left in a coma.
The 26-years-old player, one of Iran’s volleyball stars also former member of the Iran national team, had recently participated in Al Rayyan’s training and, according to the information available, although not officially confirmed, the unfortunate incident occurred during activities at the hotel pool where he was staying.
Suddenly, his condition deteriorated, and the team of doctors is working to stabilize him from coma to a stable condition.
He was resuscitated by medical staff and immediately transferred to a hospital. Now under intensive care in one of Doha’s hospitals, he was under medically induced sleep for treatment.
Luckily, according to confirmed sources, today he has woken up from an induced coma.
