Türkiye: all results of Round 2 2025/26, Halkbank down Galatasaray in a big classic and the others

Round 2 of 2025/26 SMS Grup Efelerligi has been completed today with the clash between and Spor Toto, ended, as predicted, with a straight sets win in favor of the home team, 3-0 (25:14, 26:24, 25:22), reflecting Fenerbahçe’s dominance throughout almost all game.
With big names like Earvin Ngapeth, Adis Lagumdzija, Chinenyeze Barthelemy, Mirza Lagumdzija, Mert Matic, Fabian Drzyzga, and libero Burutay Subaşı, Fenerbahçe started strong. Earvin Ngapeth led the charge for Fenerbahçe with 19 points, while Adis Lagumdzija with 14 proved to be decisive too. Jesus Jaime Herrera stood out for Spor Toto with 21 points, but his efforts weren’t enough to change the final result.
Round 2 of the competition started yesterday with intense action.
In big match of the day, Halkbank down Gatasaray HDI Sigorta in straight sets (25:23, 25:20, 27:25) at their TVF Ziraat Bankkart Volleyball Hall.
Led by head coach Radostin Stoytchev, Halkbank’s star players Matey Kaziyski and Tsvetan Sokolov made the difference: tue first one scored 15 points with 61% attack efficiency, while Sokolov added 13 points and two aces, while Cuban outside hitter Yoandy Leal also contributed with 11 points, helping seal the clean sweep before 3,000 spectators.
On the losing side, Jean Patry and Stephen Maar led Galatasaray’s attack with 14 and 15 points, respectively. Despite their efforts, the Istanbul team couldn’t hold off Halkbank’s attack and strong blocking.
About the others, Gaziantep Gençlik Spor edged past On Hotels Alanya Belediyespor in a five-set thriller, 3-2 (17:25, 25:22, 25:22, 15:25, 15:11), while Ziraat Bankkart continued their strong start, defeating Gebze Belediyespor on the road, 1-3 (28:26, 15:25, 17:25, 19:25).
3 points also for İstanbul Gençlik Spor, who swept İBB Spor Kulübü also on the road, 0-3 (23:25, 22:25, 19:25), and Kuşgöz İzmir Vinç Akkuş Belediyespor, who overcame Rams Global Cizre Belediyespor 3-1 (25:21, 21:25, 25:23, 25:20).
Altekma battled hard to secure a 3-2 (17:25, 25:22, 25:22, 15:25, 15:11) win over Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor after a hard-fought five-set game.
