3 min read

After the advance played yesterday, in which Energa Trefl Gdańsk down Ślepsk Malow Suwałki on the road, Round 3 of 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with other three games.
In the big match, PGE Projekt Warszawa stun JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel by beating the rivals on the road in just three sets, 0-3 (19:25, 23:25, 22:25)!
The team from country’s capital looked unstoppable in one of the biggest matchups of the early PlusLiga season.
For the first time this year, the defending champions from Jastrzębie had no answers, and the winners dominated from start to finish, keeping their perfect record alive with their third straight win, all in straight sets.
For Jastrzębski, Nicolas Szerszeń scored 14 points, while Łukasz Kaczmarek added 10. Linus Weber led the winners with 18 points to his name, while Kevin Tillie added 14, and Jurii Semeniuk also contributed with 11.
Warszawa, either way, outpowered the rivals in all elementa including a stronger attack, better blocking (9–6), and 6 to 1 aces.
The night’s hero was Kevin Tillie, who earned the MVP award for his smart all-around play made of 48% attack efficiency, three blocks, and an impressive 75% positive reception.
The last two matches played today ended with confident 3–0 victories for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.
In Zawiercie, the hosts defeated Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa (25:17, 25:22, 27:25), with the final set that brought the most excitement, even if the winners held their nerve to seal the victory, led by MVP Mateusz Bieniek, who left the court with 16 points to his name through 65% in attack, 2 aces and 3 blocks, Bartosz Kwolek and Aaron Russell, who each scored 11, and Bartłomiej Bołądź, also in double digit with 10.
For Częstochowa, 19-year-old Jakub Kiedos impressed with 19 points in his first full PlusLiga match, supported by Patrik Indra with 14. Despite their efforts, the visitors remain winless this season.
In Rzeszów, Asseco Resovia continued their perfect start, sweeping Cuprum Stilon Gorzów partially 25:22, 25:18 and 25:23. Artur Szalpuk scored 14 points and earned MVP honors, while Karol Butryn added 13.
Gorzów’s best were Kamil Kwasowski with 15 points, Mathis Henno with 12 and Chizoba Neves Atu with 10. Though competitive at times, they fell short in attack efficiency and made more errors.
Round 3 will continue tomorrow with the clash between newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm and BOGDANKA LUK Lublin.
