France: Round 6 completed – first win for Chaumont! Poitiers, Plessis Robinson, Ajaccio and Tourcoing ok

After two advances played yesterday, in which Montpellier down Toulouse at tie break and Tours defeated Paris by 3-1, 2025/26 Marmara Spike League Round 6, has been closed today.
The day started with Poitiers who trampled over SĆØte on the road with a clean 0-3 (19:25, 20:25, 9:25), with a strong performance from the serve’s line and 18 points from top scorer Thomas Pujol (48% in attack and as many as 8 of his team’s 10 winning blocks!).
Straight sets win also for Plessis-Robinson, who sweep Cannes 3-0 (25:22, 25:19, 25:20). With a strong play in attack (62% of team performance), Joevin Wa Bala and Nathan Canovas led the charge with 15 points each (76% without errors for the latter), while Brett Wildmann also contributed with 13. Xander Ketrzynski scored 16 points for Cannes, but he wasn’t enough to compete against a strong rivals now at fourth place in the standings with 11 points, the same number of points of Poitiers.
3-0 also for newcomers Ajaccio against Narbonne 3-0 (25:21, 25:22, 25:23) with 20 points from Daniel Martins De Pinho (61% in attack and 1 ace while, after a disastrous start, Chaumont finally Chaumont earned first seasonal win after a well-deserved 3-1 (19:25, 25:20, 25:13, 25:20) against Nice. Despite they remained to the bottom of current charts with only 4 points, now they are at -1 from today’s rivals and Toulouse, and -1 from Cannes. Pierre Toledo left the court with 20 points through 59% in attack, 2 aces and 2 of the winners’ 13 winning blocks, while Alexandros Raptis, in Nice last season, also contributed with 16. Dawid Dulski scored 21 points for Nice.
Four sets win also for Tourcoing, that down St-Nazaire on the road by 1-3 (20:25, 25:23, 17:25, 19:25) with 18 points from top scorer Venislav Antov, and 17 each from Jan Martinez Franchi and Ignacio Luengas.
The winners confirmed themselves at second place in the standings with 14 points, the same of Tours, at -1 from leaders Montpellier.
