2 min read
Former Serbian volleyball national team player Uroš Kovačević has officially signed with Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki, that announced he agreed to a deal lasting until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
The club described the transfer as a major boost, saying that bringing in one of the world’s top outside hitters is a real transfer bomb.
However, the player won’t be able to make his debut before December 15, when the winter transfer window in Greece officially opens.
Born in 1993 in Kraljevo, he began his career in Ribnica and went on to play in Slovenia, Italy, China, Qatar, Poland, and Russia, earning multiple titles and individual awards along the way, also representing Serbia at the 2012 and 2024 Olympic Games.
Before joining PAOK, he spent his most recent season with Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, in Italian Superlega.
