Poland: Round 9 continues – straight sets win for Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and BOGDANKA LUK Lublin

After the advance played yesterday, in which Barkom Każany Lwów down newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm at tie break, Round 9 of 2025/26 PlusLiga continued today with other two games.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and Bogdanka LUK Lublin delivered confident, straight-set victories.
In Rzeszów, Asseco Resovia bounced back in style after two tough defeats, sweeping PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów 3-0 (25:16, 25:22, 25:14) in front of their home fans. Klemen Cebulj was almost unstoppable, leading the charge with 17 points to his name and earning MVP honors, backed by Karol Butryn who added 12 and Danny Demyanenko with 10, snapping Bełchatów’s six-match winning streak.
In the evening in Suwałki, the defending champions from Lublin were simply too strong for Ślepsk Malow Suwałki, winning with a clean 3-0 (25:21, 25:18, 25:19). For the winners this was sixth success of the season, while Suwałki fell to their seventh loss.
Ślepsk’s Bartosz Filipiak led all scorers with 16 points while, for Lublin, Wilfredo Leon and Kewin Sasak both added 14 points, and setter Marcin Komenda was named MVP.
Round 9 will continue tomorrow with other three games: Cuprum Stilon Gorzów will welcome PGE Projekt Warszawa, Energa Trefl Gdańsk will face Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie while, in the evening, Indykpol AZS Olsztyn will welcome ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
