France: Round 10 completed – Montpellier back to the top! Toulouse, Poitiers, Nice, Sète, Montpellier and Tourcoing ok

After the advance played on Thursday, in which Tours defeated Chaumont at tie break in a big classic of French Volleyball, Round of 2025/26 Marmara Spike League has been completed today, with Montpellier who back to the top after a 3-0 (25:23, 25:23, 25:20) home win over St-Nazaire, despite the absences of Nicolas Le Goff and Simon Hirsch. Behind them at -1 and 24 points in the standings Tourcoing, who today down Narbonne by 3-1 (25:19, 25:15, 25:27, 29:27). Venislav Antov led the charge again leaving the court with 22 points through 61% in attack and 2 the winners’ 11 winning blocks, well supported by Ignacio Luengas who added 21, while setter Bruno Dias earned MVP honors also contributing with 5 points.
After an excellent season start, Plessis Robinson fell to Sète, that literally destroyed them with a clean 3-0 (25:20, 25:16, 25:22), with an impressive performance from setter Angel Trinidad De Haro, author of 9 points including 2 aces and 4 of his team’s 12 winning blocks! Nicolas Zerba and Nooa Marttila added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
3 points also for Toulouse, who literally destroyed Cannes 3-0 (25:18, 25:14, 25:18) with a good team performance, led by an excellent Timo Beriot who scored 15 points through an impressive 72% in attack including 1 ace and 1 block. For Cannes, the consequent last place in the standings shared with Saint Nazaire.
Nice celebrated a very important win over newcomers Ajaccio, 3-0 (25:17, 25:17, 25:18), led by their home fans.

MVP Shay Liberman made the difference with 19 points to his name through 57% in attack, 67% positive receptions, 3 aces and 3 blocks, while Dawid Dulski also contributed with 16 through 65% in attack and 1 ace. The winners also shone in blocking, recording 10 points from this element compared to the rivals’ 1!
Close the picture the 0-3 (10:25, 20:25, 22:25) away win of Poitiers on the fiele of Paris, with MVP Kevin Kobrine who left the court with 20 points to his tally through 62% in attack, 2 aces and 2 blocks.
Marmara Spike League will continue on Thursday with the advance of Round 11 between Cannes and Narbonne.
