Poland: Gdańsk open 2026 with a great win over Resovia in advance of Round 15

In the opener of 2025/26 Plusliga Round 15, as well as first game of 2026, Energa Trefl Gdańsk pulled off an upset by claiming a well deserved 3-1 (23:25, 24:26, 25:19, 27:25) win over Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.
The winners rebounded after dropping the first set 25–23, tightening their defense and controlling decisive moments to take the next three sets, with setter Joe Worsley who earned MVP honors, while Aliaksei Nasevich and Tobias Brand led the charge with 23 and 20 points, respectively.
Round 15 will continue tomorrow with other 3 games: in big match, PGE Projekt Warszawa will face Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle will welcome current leaders BOGDANKA LUK Lublin while, in the evening, Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa will face Barkom Każany Lwów in a very important game to stay in Plusliga.
