Poland: Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie opened Round 17 with 3 points

Round 17 of 2025/26 Plusliga started today with first two games, in which Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie earned three points.
The latter had little trouble collecting a win on the road as they swept past newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm 0-3 (18:25, 14:25, 19:25). The hosts, who recently surprised the Polish champions away from home, could not repeat that performance against last season’s runners-up, as they controlled the match throughout, putting them under constant pressure with powerful serving and literally dominating in decisive moments of the game.
Mateusz Bieniek led the winners with 17 points and was named MVP, Aaron Russell added 11 points, while Chełm’s most prolific player was Remigiusz Kapica with 10.
Earlier in the day, Ślepsk Malow Suwałki strengthened their position near the bottom of the table with a 3-1 (25:22, 25:18, 22:25, 25:18) home win over last-placed Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa. Bartosz Filipiak was the man of the match with 30 points to his name, while setter Karol Jankiewicz was named MVP.
Round 17 will continue tomorrow with other three games: PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów will welcome BOGDANKA LUK Lublin, JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel will face ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle in a big classic of polish volleyball while, in the evening, Cuprum Stilon Gorzów will welcome Barkom Każany Lwów in a very important match for relegation race.
