Champions League: third week starts today with straight sets wins for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and Montpellier!

Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie continued their perfect run in the 2026 CEV Champions League Men with a composed 0-3 (19:25, 21:25, 22:25) victory in Germany on the field of SVG Lüneburg in Pool D.
The Polish side showed their class from start to finish, gradually taking control of each set, while the hosts pushed hard, particularly in the second and third sets, even though the winners’ experience and efficiency in decisive moments made the difference.
Aaron Russell with 15 points led the charge and was later named MVP, while Mateusz Bieniek, who scored the same number of points, delivered important points that helped shut down any Lüneburg’s hopes of a possible comeback.
Meanwhile, in Pool E, France’s Montpellier HSC VB did the same collecting a clean 3-0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:20) success over Volley Haasrode Leuven from Belgium without major problems, after just 71 minutes of play.
Four players reached a double digit for the winners with Ezequiel Palacios top scorer with 14 points, closely followed by Vincent Mathias with 13, while Tomas Lopez and Haukea Mare also contributed with 10 each.
