Poland: Jastrzębski sweep Lublin on the road on Sunday game of Round 18

Round 18 of 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with the clash between BOGDANKA LUK Lublin and JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel, ended in just three sets in favor of the visiting side, 0-3 (21:25, 21:25, 16:25).
The Polish champions delivered an unusually inconsistent performance, which the visitors fully exploited to claim their 10th win of the season. Despite the loss, their fifth this season, the team from Lublin remain league leaders thanks to dropped points by PGE Projekt Warszawa, sharing the top of the standings both with 35 points.
Jastrzębski held the edge in attack (55% to 43%), blocking (10–3), and serving (7–4), while forcing more mistakes from the home team, led in score by Michał Gierżot, MVP of the match with 15 points to his name through 59% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block.
Double digit also for Nicolas Szerszeń and Łukasz Kaczmarek, who added 13 and 10 points, respectively, while Wilfredo Leon and Hilir Henno were the most prolific players for Lublin with 11 each.
Round 18 will continue tomorrow with a very important game for relegation race between last-placed Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa and newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm.
