France: Round 21 continues – Tourcoing sweep Nice in straight sets!

After the advance played yesterday, in which Paris sweep Cannes in straight sets, Round 21 of 2025/26 MARMARA Spike League continued today with the clash between Tourcoing and Nice, ended in straight sets too in favor of the home team, 3-0 (25:23, 25:19, 25:23), against a rival which played a great first set and then tried a desperate comeback in third and last one, recovering from 16-12 and then also from 24-21, until the decisive 25-23.
The winners made the difference above
all from the serve line, recording 8 aces and shaking Nice’s reception, while Venislav Antov (1 ace, 1 block and 62% in attack) and Tom Lavigne 3 aces and 57% in attack) led the charge with 17 and 15 points, respectively.
Dawid Dulski and Shay Liberman were the last to surrender on the other side of the net, both in double digits with 19 and 11 points, respectively.
For Nice this was third defeat in a row after Montpellier and Tours, whe Tourcoing remain to third place now at -2 from Montpellier, who tomorrow will welcome No.4 Poitiers, while the rivals remained at No.8 with 29 points, together with Sète (tomorrow on the field of Saint Nazaire, who are struggling to stay Ligue A), and Plessis Robinson, on the field of leaders Tours, coming from fifth defeats in a row!
Round 21 will be completed tomorrow with the remaining five games.
