Champions League: Pool Stage completed – all verdicts and last teams qualified!

Sixth and last week of 2025/26 CEV Champions League has been played entirely today with all verdicts and all 10 scheduled games played.
In Pool A, leaders Ziraat Bankkart Ankara fro Türkiye down No.2 Italy’s Trentino Itas by 1-3 (20:25, 25:21, 21:25, 21:25) on the road in an irrelevant match, while France’s Tours VB played last Championship League game celebrating a 3-2 (25:19, 23:25, 18:25, 25:16, 15:13) against ACH Volley Ljubljana from Slovenia.
With 11 points from six matches, Trento finished as the best runner-up and now move on to the Round of 16, where they will face Poland’s PGE Projekt Warsaw in early March.
The italians entered the match without starting players Alessandro Michieletto and Flavio Gualberto, both sidelined due to injury. Even so, they showed determination, responding to a first-set loss by leveling the match in the second. They built an early lead in the third set behind strong performances from Theo Faure, who scored 20 points, and Jordi Ramon, who added 14. However, the rivals’ powerful attack proved decisive. Nimir Abdel-Aziz led the Turkish side with an outstanding 35-point display, earning MVP honors and guiding his team to victory in front of more than 3,400 volleyball fans.
Meanwhile in France, ACH Volley Ljubljana achieved their main objective despite a narrow 3-2 loss to Tours. Needing at least two sets to continue their European campaign, the Slovenian champions regrouped after a slow start and secured progression to the CEV Cup quarterfinals. Tonček Štern delivered 28 points for Ljubljana, while Tours’ Nik Mujanović reply with 27 in his last European game with a French club in a tightly contested encounter.
Ljubljana will host the first leg of their quarterfinal tie in early March, with their opponent to be determined between Fenerbahçe and Orion Stars.
In Pool B, Poland’s Bogdanka LUK Lublin eliminated Galatasaray HDI Istanbul from Türkiye after a clean 3-0 (25:17, 25:21, 26:24) sweep with 20 points from Wilfredo Leon (67% in attack and 4 aces), and 18 from Hilir Henno (64% in attack and 2 aces). Lublin end their pool stage campaign to the top of Pool B, while Wilfredo Leon once again led the charge with 20 points MVP honors.
Jean Patry was Galatasaray’s top scorer with 14.
Meanwhile, Halkbank’s European campaign came to an end following a 3-1 defeat to Knack Roeselare in Belgium. Although the Turkish side opened strongly by taking the first set 25:23, the hosts responded to win the next three sets 25:21, 25:20 and 25-19.
Halkbank finished Pool B with just four points and were eliminated from the tournament, while Roeselare advanced after a composed performance on home court.
In Pool C, Italian powerhouse Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia destroy Germany’s Berlin Recycling Volleys 0-3 (17:25, 18:25, 20:25) at the Max-Schmeling-Halle to finish Pool Stage to the top of their pool after six wins in as many games while, on the same Pool, qualified also Spain’s Guaguas Las Palmas who, after a 2-3 (18:25, 28:30, 25:21, 25:19, 11:15) success in Czech Republic over the hosts VK Lvi Praha, emerged better than Berlin and progress to the next stage of the competition thanks to a better ratio!
Perugia controlled the match from start to finish and, although Berlin started each set with energy and briefly took early leads, the visitors responded with clinical precision and steady composure.
Captain Simone Giannelli led his team with authority and earned MVP honors, contributing four points while expertly distributing the winners’ offense that proved decisive, posting a 57 percent success rate compared to Berlin’s 38 percent.
Wassim Ben Tara led the charge with 16 points, supported by Roberto Russo who added 9 and a balanced contribution of 10 points each from Oleh Plotnytskyi and Kamil Semeniuk. Berlin’s Jake Hanes lef the court with 14 points.
The second set was particularly one-sided, as Perugia surged ahead with strong blocking and aggressive serving. In the third, Berlin briefly threatened with consecutive aces, but Perugia quickly regained control to seal the match.
In Poland, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie sweep SVG Lüneburg from Germany 3-0 (25:20, 25:17, 25:22) to secure the top spot in Pool D and a direct qualification to quarterfinals after five wins and one loss, against their compatriots Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, who today suffered an unexpected defeat in Portugal against already eliminated Sporting CP Lisboa, 3-1 (25:22, 25:22, 19:25, 20:25).
Zawiercie controlled the match with a 60% attack efficiency and an edge in both serve aces (5–2) and blocks (6–2), with Bartłomiej Bołądź who led the charge with 13 points and MVP honors. Bartosz Kwolek added 12, while Miłosz Zniszczoł scored 11. Christopher Byam top-scored Lüneburg with 15 points.
In the group’s other match, Sporting CP Lisbon defeated Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. Although Resovia had already secured second place and a playoff berth, Sporting claimed the win led by Edson Valencia, who scored 16 points and was named MVP while, for Resovia, Yacine Louati tallied 14 points.
In Pool E, to the top Italy’s Cucine Lube Civitanova, who needed five sets to prevail over PGE Projekt Warszawa from Poland, 3-2 (25:23, 24:26, 25:19, 22:25, 15:12), with 26 points from Aleksandar Nikolov (57% in attack and 1 ace).
At the Eurosuole Forum, Civitanova prevailed in a tightly contested encounter that lasted over two hours. Already assured of top spot, the Italian side showed resilience to claim their fifth win in six matches. Dominant at the net with 15 blocks to Warsaw’s six, Lube compensated for a slight deficit in service aces and edged the attacking battle 50% to 48%.
Pablo Kukartsev also contributed with 14 points, while Giovanni Maria Gargiulo made the difference from the middle with four blocks. For Warsaw, Bartosz Bednorz led the scoring with 20 points, supported by Kevin Tillie (16) and Linus Weber (12).
Lube will now face Zawiercie in the quarter-finals, with the first leg scheduled in Italy.
Meanwhile, Montpellier produced a composed 3-0 victory against Volley Haasrode Leuven (25:21, 25:21, 25:22) to secure second place in Pool E with a 4-2 record. The result sends Montpellier into the Champions League play-offs for the first time in club history.
