French powerhouse Tours Volley-Ball announced the return of Earvin Ngapeth on a two-year contract starting with the 2026/27 season.
The 35-year-old outside hitter, a double Olympic gold medalist with France, will rejoin the club where he began his professional career in 2008.
Currently playing for Fenerbahçe in TĂŒrkiye’s Efelerligi, he comes back to France after more than a decade competing in Europeâs top leagues, including Italy and Russia.
His return marks a major move for the reigning French champions, currently to the top of Marmara Spike League, who are aiming to strengthen both their domestic dominance and European ambitions.
Ngapeth previously won a French league title and two French Cups with Tours early in his career and now, 15 years later, he returns boasting a great international experience and his sights set on preparing for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
For Tours (and French volleyball) the homecoming signals renewed ambition, and the comeback of one of the sportâs most prominent figures.
