France: 3 points for Narbonne on Saturday games of Round 22. 2 for Chaumont and Poitiers (who shock Tours!)

After the advance played yesterday, in which Tourcoing down Toulouse in four sets, and other two games played yesterday in which Sète and Nice earned three points, Round 22 of 2025/26 MARMARA Spike League continued today with other three games. Poitiers win the derby against Tours, while Chaumont and Narbonne also secured victories.
Poitiers, who hadn’t beaten Tours since December 27, 2024, won a spectacular game against Tours Volley-Ball with the score of 3-2 (25:21, 23:25, 23:25, 25:20, 15:11) in front of 2,400 home fans in a packed and electric arena, securing their seventh consecutive home win counting all competitions, including a spectacular win over German powerhouse VfB Friedrichshafen, in CEV Cup. Still undefeated in 2026, they are maintaining their excellent momentum.
Tours, on the other hand, played without their star setter Zeljko Coric, replaced by Samuel Njok, while the hosts Poitiers could count on of young French setter Anatole Chaboissant, well supported by a strong team performance. Thomas Pujol, who scored 21 points through 56% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block, proved to be decisive, while American opposite hitter Kevin Kobrine, who shone with 29 points to his name through 54% in attack, 2 aces and 2 blocks was named MVP of the match.
Meanwhile, Chaumont had a scare in Plessis-Robinson!
After leading 0-2, they had to play a tense tiebreak before finally winning 15-13, 2-3 (23:25, 19:25, 25:19, 25:20, 13:15), despite a great start in the fifth set (1-6). Jacob Pasteur, who scored 27 points through 64% in attack and 2 blocks, led his team to their sixth victory of the season, allowing Chaumont to extend their lead over last-placed Ajaccio to six points, well supported by an excellent Alex Saaremaa, who added 14 through 77% in attack, 2 aces and 2 blocks.
Close the picture a straight sets win of Narbonne over Paris, collecting their third win a row after Plessis Robinson and Chaumont (26:24, 25:23, 25:17), after 1 hour and 27 minutes of play. With a great team performance, the winners managed to contain Vasiliy Molotkov, who struggled against the block and defense orchestrated by Lorenzo Tubertini’s team.
This win gives Narbonne three very important points in the race for the play-offs and temporarily lifts them to ninth place in the standings.
Michael Czerwinski led the charge with 19 points to his name through 58% in attack and 1 block, well supported by Pelegrin Vargas, who added 14 including 3 aces, while Miguel Fornes earned MVP awards also scoring 5 points.
Round 22 will close tomorrow the clash between Cannes and No.2 Montpellier.
