Perugia lift 7th Del Monte®Supercoppa in club’s history! Verona defeated in four sets in a Trieste Arena sold out!

Sir Susa Scai Perugia closed final four of Del Monte® Supercoppa 2025 with a commanding comeback to defeat Rana Verona 1-3 (27:25, 22:25, 21:25, 22:25) to lift the trophy for the seventh time in club history, in front of 6,300 volleyball fans at a sold-out PalaTrieste.
Verona claimed the opening set 27–25 after a tense battle decided in the closing rallies, with Darlan Souza who set the tone early, delivering a match-high 28 points including six aces, and consistently pressuring the rivals from the serves’ line. Noumory Keita added 15 points, while Francesco Sani added also contributed with nine as Verona showed strength in both serving and blocking.
The winners, however, replied with greater balance, resilience and efficiency, taking the next three sets raising their attacking percentage to 60%, with four players which left the court in double digits: Oleh Plotnytskyi, top scorer with 17 points, closely followed by Wassim Ben Tara followed with 16, Kamil Semeniuk who added 13, and Federico Crosato with 11. Roberto Russo also contributed with 5 points with 71% success rate in attack.
Simone Giannelli was named MVP after guiding Perugia’s offense with experience, while libero Massimo Colaci celebrated a record ninth Supercoppa title!
Head coach Angelo Lorenzetti also made history, becoming the competition’s most successful coach with six titles in his pockets.
