Italy: Monza and Milano to semifinals for 5th Place. Padova and Cisterna eliminated in Game 2

In 2025/26 Superlega CredemBanca Playoffs for 5th Place, Vero Volley Monza and Allianz Milano join Itas Trentino to semifinals after eliminating Sonepar Padova and Cisterna Volley, respectively.
After an easy straight sets home win in Game 1, Monza did the same also in Game 2 winning with the same result, 0-3 (17:25, 19:25, 21:25), on the field of Padova, with 19 points from Diego Frascio and 9 from Erik Rohrs, while Veljko Masulovic and Davide Gardini scored 8 points each for Padova. The winners will face Itas Trentino in semifinal.
Meanwhile Milano, also after a clean 3-0 sweep in Milano last Saturday, won also on the field of Cisterna after losing a hard-fought first set, 1-3 (31:29, 22:25, 23:25, 22:25).
Ferre Reggers led the charge with 23 points to his name, well supported by Tatsunori Otsuka, also in double digit with 14. Middle blocker Jacopo Tosti scored 11 points for Cisterna, Daniele Mazzone added 15 and Efe Bayram 19.
Milano will face the winnets between MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo and Valsa Group Modena, on the field tomorrow, with superfavorite Modena who sweep the rivals on Easter Monday.
