Second week of Volleyball Nations League 2026 has been completed today in Gliwice (Poland), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Orléans (France).

Here in Poland, Germany closed out Week 2 on a high note, defeating China in four sets: 25:20, 25:20, 22:25, 25:19, improving to a 4-4 record, while China drops to 1-7 heading into the final week of preliminary action.

Turkiye ended their week with a hard-fought 3-0 (26:24, 26:24, 25:17) win against debutants Belgium. In a duel between the two opposites, Turkiye’s Adis Lagumdzia recorded a match-high 23 points, including three kill blocks, against 22 (including three aces) from Belgium’s Ferre Reggers.

In the evening, Argentina and Poland played a record-breaking first set, which took 98 rallies to resolve, before the home team turned the match around to a 3-1 (48:50, 26:24, 25;19, 25:20) victory. The defending VNL champions were led by star outside Wilfredo Leon, who recorded a match-high 27 points including three blocks and two aces, for Poland, while Manuel Armoa Morel led Argentina’s scorers with 23 points, all in attack.
