We officially welcome you to the 45th episode of VolleyBar, and weâre proud to announce that tomorrow, July 18, our daily column turns three months old!
It was the very first daily volleyball column to bring together all the biggest volleyball news of the day in one place. Since then, weâve even seen some rather poor imitations pop up in Italy under the names âpress reviewâ or âroundupsââapparently, some people decided that translating our articles into Italian almost word for word wasnât enough.
So, weâve reached another important milestone!

In Italy, Lube Volleyâs Communications Department has won the 16th Stracca Award.
The recognition is the result of the outstanding teamwork between Head of Press Office Michele Campagnoli, Social Media Manager Daniele Risina, Graphic Designer Cristina Vincenzi, Head of External Relations Marco Tentella, and Official Photographer Maurizio Spalvieri. Congratulations from us as wellâwe had the pleasure of being guests of the club during Game 2 of the Italian Championship Finals.
During the presentation of the 2026/27 season calendars, the award for winning the 2025/26 CEV Volleyball Cup was also presented to Gas Sales BluEnergy Piacenza General Manager Hristo Zlatanov, another club we had the pleasure of following closely throughout last season.
âWinning is always special. This trophy represents the growth of our group and the tremendous work done by the coaching staff with such a young team,â he said.
In France, JĂŠrĂŠmie Mouiel extends his adventure with Paris.
A key member of the Paris Volley squad, the 31-year-old libero will play his third season wearing the clubâs colors.
will continue to bring his experience, positive attitude, and high standards to the team after helping Paris Volley win the French Professional Cup.
In Poland, Michael Wright completes Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercieâs roster!
The 25-year-old American setter joins the Polish club from Galatasaray HDI Istanbul. The 2026/27 season will mark his debut in the PlusLiga.

In Greece, Olympiacos S.F.P. has officially announced the contract renewal of Dimitris Konstantinidis. The Greek international libero has signed a new deal and will remain part of the clubâs menâs volleyball team.
Speaking of the VNL, which weâre covering on-site from Japan, Serbia, and the United States, Cuba celebrated a crucial second victory today to keep its hopes of avoiding relegation alive, defeating Argentina in five sets.
Meanwhile, yesterday two more teams secured their places in the Finals: the still-undefeated Japan, and the United States, who booked their ticket after defeating Brazil in straight sets.
At the 6th SEA V Cup â Leg 1, Alas Pilipinas missed out on the semifinals after losing to an undefeated Indonesia, who secured first place and a semifinal berth with a 25:20, 25:23, 27:25 victory.
The Philippines will now face Myanmar in the 5th-place match, while Indonesia advances to the semifinals to face Vietnam.
Vietnam also booked its place in the semifinals after sweeping Myanmar in straight sets: 25:18, 25:23, 25:19.
