One Olympic ticket will be up for grabs in Moncton, Canada, as four national teams begin their fight for a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Canada, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Mexico will compete at the Avenir Centre on September 18 and 19, with the NORCECA Men’s Olympic Qualification Tournament offering a direct route to the Games.
The four teams earned their places through the 2026 NORCECA Men’s Continental Championship.
The United States, which won the continental title, has already secured its Olympic berth as the host nation, leaving the remaining teams to battle for the region’s qualification spot.
Canada will open the semifinals against Mexico, having finished second at the continental championship.
In the other matchup, Cuba, the bronze medallists, will face the Dominican Republic, who finished fourth.
For Canada, the tournament represents an opportunity to reach the Olympics for a fourth consecutive time.
Cuba, meanwhile, are seeking a return to the Games for the first time since Rio 2016, while Mexico are targeting their third Olympic appearance.
The Dominican Republic are chasing a historic milestone: qualifying for the men’s Olympic volleyball tournament for the first time.
