Poland: predictions respected in first games of Playoffs Quarterfinals!

In the opening matches of the 2023/24 PlusLiga Playoffs Quarterfinals, regular season winners Jastrzębski Węgiel and their closest pursuers Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie secured dominant victories, setting a strong pace for their respective series.
The first one, also the reigning Polish champions, defeated Indykpol AZS Olsztyn with a convincing 0-3 (18:25, 16:25, 19:25) away win. Tomasz Fornal emerged as MVP with 18 points to his hame, 69% attack efficiency, while Alan Souza and Manuel Armoa were the top scorers for the hosts, with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
In the evening, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie also triumphed over PSG Stal Nysa with a 0-3 (26:28, 19:25, 19:25) scoreline, despite an unexpected interruption due to a fire outbreak caused by a lamp in the Nysa arena.
Bartosz Kwolek, with 21 points, led the winners to the success, closely followed by his teammates Karol Butryn and Mateusz Bieniek.
Both Jastrzębski Węgiel and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie have now established 1-0 lead ahead of the second leg of the quarterfinals, scheduled for Saturday, April 13.
