France: Round 25 completed – Ajaccio down Nice to left last place in the standings! Win also for Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Tours

Coupe de France finalist Paris inflicted to St-Nazaire a defeat also ended in four sets, 3-1 (25:19, 25:23, 18:25, 24:26), recording their 4 successes in a row after Chaumont (semifinal of Coupe de France), Montpellier and Nice, with 32 points from an unstoppable Vasily Molotkov (56% in attack and 1 ace).
Surely not a good news for Saint Nazaire, who fall to last place at -2 from Ajaccio, which hadn’t left last place since Round 13!
And today, after almost wasting a 2-0 lead in front of their home fans, managed to win the game with the score of 3-2 (28:26, 25:22, 12:25, 21:25, 15:13) over an again disappointing Nice.
Despite the visiting side were slightly better in blocking (16 to 13) and from serve’s line (7 aces to 3), they suffered their third defeat in a row after eliminating Tours from Coupe de France claiming a thrilling tie break victory in semifinal!
Setter Matthieu Garcia earned MVP honors after sending his team with 48% team performance in attack and also contributing with 4 points including 3 blocks, while Martos Neto top-scored the winners with 19 points to his name through 45% in attack and 4 blocks.
Dawid Dulski tallied 25 points for Nice, but he wasn’t enough.
After trailing 0-2, Toulouse performed a thrilling comeback to win the game against Poitiers 3-2 (24:26, 18:25, 25:22, 26:24, 15:9), with 17 points from MVP and top scorer Tibo Rippert (44% in attack, 63% positive receptions, 2 aces and 3 blocks) and 14 from Pierre Derouillon.
Regular season of Marmara Spike League will complete next Saturday with all games of Round 26.
