The Netherlands and Belgium have played two friendly matches on the road that leads them to the World Cup. In the first the hosts of the Netherlands won for 3-2, in the second the Belgians of Andrea Anastasi, who will be opponents of Italy in Florence in the first round, they took the revenge always imposing themselves to the fifth 3-2 (25 -17 25-21 18-25 23-25 15-11). The best scorers for this second match were Rousseaux for Belgium with 21 points and Ter Horst for the Netherlands with 18 points.
