Saturday Perugia destroyed Verona in the first match of this Round 2. Victory for Modena against Castellana away, but they had to play five sets to win the game. Good match for the Italian star Ivan Zaytsev who ended the match with 30 points.
His teammate Bartosz Bednorz has added 11 points, while Renan Zanatta had 17 points. Victory also for Lube Civitanova, 3-0 against Ravenna. They only had some difficulties in the second set, but they managed to win it, and later to win the match. The Cuban players, Juantorena with 14 points, Yoandy Leal with 13 and Simon Robertlandy with 11, were the best players in this match, while Tsvetan Sokolov had 7 points. On the other side, Kamil Rychlicki was the author of 13 points.
Aaron Russell with 16 points, Uros Kovacevic with 15 and Srecko Lisinac with 12 were the top scorers in Trentino’s win over Sora. On the other side, Dusan Petkovic with 19 points followed by Joao Rafael with 18 created a really huge resistance. First victory for Monza, 3:1 on the Latina’s field, and for Milano, 3:1 against Padova.
